Tax Director Audit & Controversy (m/f/d)

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with and directly report to the Head of Tax Audit & Controversy
  • Support on a global scale tax audits and respective tax litigation/appeal matters including the related risk management and risk reporting obligations of the group
  • Actively participate in the German as well as in major international tax audits including transfer price audits. The responsibility further contains litigations and dispute resolution proceedings such as mutual agreement proceedings and joint audits
  • Contribute on tax politics matters, which includes monitoring and lobbying on national and international tax initiatives (in collaboration with Public Affairs Team) and the analysis of the corresponding group impact

Who you are

  • Tax specialist (m/f/d) with university (of applied sciences) degree in law (both state exams)
  • Additional qualification as a certified tax advisor (m/f/d) and/or tax lawyer (m/f/d) or comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in tax, preferable in an industrial, consulting or tax administrative environment
  • Excellent knowledge about German tax law and regulations and a high degree of understanding of international tax rules and transfer price practices and policies
  • Role model for the Bayer LIFE Values: Leadership, Integrity, Flexibility and Efficiency
  • Very good communication and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management and staff
  • Fluent English and German skills; both written and spoken
